Eco-cleaners are comparably priced and much safer for workers; the only downside is that it's a little harder to get our fave versions in bulk.

COCKTAIL FACT

Are your boss's lewd jokes the filthiest thing about your office?

The Bite

We doubt it. Offices can get dirty even without double-entendres like "entry-level position." And scary chems in cleaning products don't help. So help motivate a switch to green products to cut down on the other kind of filth.

The Benefits

  • Eco-friendly. Nasty jokes aside, this tip will help you avoid sending nasty chems down the drain.
  • Better indoor air quality. The EPA says indoor air pollution is often 2-5 times worse than outdoor air pollution, and harsh cleaning chemicals contribute.
  • Healthier janitors. Scary but true: 1/3 of the cleaning products janitors handle contain chems that can cause skin and eye irritation, cancer or reproductive disorders.

Personally Speaking

Heather doesn't make lewd jokes, but she does swear like a sailor. And since she always says that eco-cleaning products smell good enough to eat, we won't bother washing her mouth out with soap since she may like it.
