The Benefits:

On Jen’s recent excursion to buy a do-it-yourself water heater insulation kit - two big home stores were both sold out, so she is ordering online (below).

If your heater is more than 7 years old, give it a blankie:
- Try a Water Heater Blanket R5 ($17.99).
- Check the temperature on your water heater. A setting of 120◦ (rather then the pre-set 140◦) will reduce energy consumption and the risk of scalds from overheated water.
