The Benefits:
- A real hit for your taste buds. These granolas contain delicious ingredients such as dried cranberries and cocoa (plus you can add whatever you like).
- Less Maneater, more healthy eater. Granola's a good source of dietary fiber and its nuts and fruit contain protein and antioxidants, plus our picks are made without hydrogenated vegetable oils and have zero trans fat.
- Not getting Out of Touch with the planet. All the companies here give back to the environment by recycling at their HQs, donating to eco-charities, and/or giving employees paid time off to volunteer.
Personally Speaking:
This was one of those tips we swore we'd never do - but though it may smack of Berks and yurts, these picks are lip-smackin'.
Wanna Try:
- Laughing Giraffe Granola - if you're into nutty, go for this raw option; the Walnut Pecan Cherry Ginger version's tops ($9/8 ounces).
- GrandyOats Granola - organic flavors like Mainely Maple and Chocolate Peanut Crisp, plus a great low-fat option called Berries Jubilee; also offers bulk ordering online ($5/10-13 ounces).
- Bear Naked Grain-ola Bars - new this month from Bear Naked: chewy granola in flavors like Chocolaty Cherry ($21/12 bars).
