What old-fashioned treat will make you moo on a hot summer day?

08.08.2007

The Bite:
A root beer float with an organic kick. Scoop some organic ice cream into a frosty mug, pour over some organic root beer, and cool off with an old-school, saddle-shoe-'n'-Elvis-lovin' treat.
The Benefits:
  • Creamy, tangy, sassafras-y goodness to float your boat.
  • Supporting sustainability-focused companies that use organic ingredients and give their (black) cows room to roam.
  • A good drinking habit. Using organic root beer and ice cream, and avoiding regular straws (which are often made from PVC), is a healthier beer bet.
Personally Speaking:
We're big fans of the float, but we're reluctant to mix the Steaz with ice cream because it's so damn good straight from the bottle.
Wanna Try:

Cocktail Fact

Kurt Cobain's last drink was a Barq's Root Beer.

Bang For The Bite

These root beer floats won't single-handedly stop global warming, but they'll stop personal warming for a few luscious moments on a hot summer day.
