Is your leftover turkey going to the dogs?

The Bite:
Here's a treat: Try one of our Thanksgiving-leftover recipes. They're good enough to make you rollover and will save you unnecessary trips to the grocery store. That's a good Biter.
The Benefits:
  • Delicious dinners. Admit it: You've come this close to throwing away turkey because you couldn't bear to eat another bite, with or without cranberry sauce.
  • Less waste. We Americans already throw away an average of 163 lb of edible food per person per year (dollarwise, the average family of four throws out $600 in unspoiled food per year).
  • Cheap eats. The fact that you can whip up new meals without many additional ingredients should get your tail wagging.
Personally Speaking:
After an unsuccessful attempt at making a tofurkey last year, Jen is going the nontraditional route and preparing a wild-caught salmon for her feast.

Cocktail Fact

The average Thanksgiving meal contains 3,000 calories. (You'll have to walk about 30 mi to burn that off.)

Bang For The Bite

If 10,000 Biters don't waste any food just one day a year, we'll save enough food to provide meals for 3,435 people.
