Having trouble letting go of your old PC?

09.25.2006

The Bite:
When you spend as much time in front of the computer screen as we do, you get a little attached. Minimize separation anxiety by sending your old PC to a better place, like a charity or trade-in center.
The Benefits:
  • Much less waste. A typical desktop PC weighs about 60 lbs - and 3/4 of obsolete computers go to landfills!
  • Get credit toward your new computer and other tech equipment like iPods with trade-in programs.
  • Donations are tax deductible and benefit schools and non-profits.
Personally Speaking:
The Ideal Bite team is split - Heather, Jen and Brett work from PCs, and Sara and Toshio from Macs. We could all spend hours debating why ours is the better choice - but we got tips to write...
Wanna Try:

Cocktail Fact

The average lifespan of a computer is 2 years (not counting the ones that crash and are thrown out windows in frustration).

Bang For The Bite

If 10,000 Biters donate or trade their old PCs, we'll keep the weight of 118 elephants in waste out of landfills.
