The Bite:
Do you like your pesticide levels like cops prefer your blood-alcohol level: low? Raise your glass to eco-underwear made from organic cotton and recycled polyester - they'll make your booty (and boobs) look so cute, it'll take your Breath(alyzer) away.
The Benefits:
  • Conventional cotton uses more synthetic chemicals than any other crop; organic's way better for the planet.
  • Undies made from recycled poly are similarly eco-friendly and more absorbent (so better for working out) than cotton.
  • We'll drink to the great cuts and fits these picks offer.
Personally Speaking:
Hanah modeled some of the women's underwear for her sig-o so he could help her decide, and - surprise, surprise - he found a whole new appreciation for all-things-eco.
Wanna Try:
Bras
  • Blue Canoe Gathered Bra - gently ribbed organic cotton with elastic bands and straps; gives your knockers great support ($32). Enter the code Ideal during checkout to get 10% off. Offer ends Nov. 1.
  • Bgreen Banded Bra Top - somewhere between a bra, sports bra, and camisole; we like it in black, but also available in white. Runs a little big ($25).

Underwear
  • Pact - the newest eco-underwear makers on the block - we love their great-fitting bikini; cool prints, and 10% of proceeds go to eco and social causes ($20). Enter the code bite25 during checkout to get 25% off.
  • Calvin Klein Naturals Trunk - CK's the king of fits, and these organic cotton men's trunks are no exception. In white or a muted green ($18).
  • Eat Organic Panties - low-sitting organic cotton undies for women, with a Biter-approved message; in green or pink ($13).
  • American Apparel Baby Rib Thong - price-is-right, organic cotton women's thong that doesn't give a whole lot of coverage, but is comfy and comes in three color combos. Also: unisex Baby Rib Brief and men's Baby Rib Boxer Brief ($6).

Cocktail Fact

Some vending machines in Japan reportedly offer used women's panties for sale. No, not for women.

Bang For The Bite

If 10,000 Biters make their next undie purchase an organic one, we'll avert the weight of eight underwear models in synthetic chems.

Yeah...all this is great if you've got about a 32A or you want your breasts to look like pancakes. I'm a slender woman with a small C cup and I still prefer to wear underwire on a daily basis. With bras like these, my boobs would either flop around, or, if the bras are stretchy enough to plaster them to my chest, they would cease to look like breasts and instead they would become just an amorphous fleshy package strapped to my ribs. How come there aren't any organic bras made with underwire?
Just wanted to say that BGreen also makes a great women's line of organic panties. They are super comfortable, and the elastic isn't thick and doesn't dig in. I find them true to size, and some of the most comfortable panties I've worn! I found them at www.faeriesdance.com, for $10 each, and MADE IN THE USA, FYI!
They're made of re-purposed fabric and the comfiest undies ever: bullfight.etsy.com
How about organic bikini panties that actually COVER the rear? Since thongs are so popular it is impossible to find bikinis with enough fabric to cover my backside and I have been the same size for many years! It is uncomfortable to have panties that cause panty lines. I would go without before I wore a brazilian, not to mention a thong!
Speaking of organic cotton and its low impact vs non-organic cotton, have you seen what patagonia is doing with everything they make that has cotton in it? Their tee shirts are far more expensive than what the masses can afford, but they have become the shirt I always grab out of my closet for the way they feel against my skin. What you wear more often than all the other things you have to choose from is becomes what you want more of. Price & quality vs. quantity & cheap w/ environmental degradation. The ongoing choice in our times. Read: Let my People go Surfing by Chounard. Thanks Frank Richardson
I agree with Jessie. I wear a 32DD and it's almost impossible to find a bra that fits, let alone one that's ethcially made and eco-friendly. I also have the same problem as Debbie. I've got a booty; where are the panties that cover my butt and don't ride up?
From all the Bailey Button Ugg Boots truth that I've said Come by Classic Tall Ugg Boots it honestly I swear Thought you saw wink, no Classic Short Ugg Boots I've been on the brink, so Tell me what you Ultra Tall Ugg Boots want from here.
